After the success, last March, of the international event « Live in a living City” in Issy-les-Moulineaux, we are delighted to be organising the next international conference on the city of the future.
All over the world today, we are seeing successful initiatives on the theme of the Smart City. These reflect a momentum in the community working in this area and aim to broaden the scope of meetings to build new relationships, share experiences and enhance practices. We are keen to make our own contribution to this underlying trend by promoting a vision of the “Smart City” of the future, a living and citizen-centric city that makes humans and life, through services and usage, the key focus for our challenges and concerns. As for the edition 2013, greeted unanimously by the national and international community, the Scientific Committee guarantees the high quality of this event and his total independence relative in the choice of themes, program, guest speakers and organization.
Insights into the living city
“The city is a territory for life and encounters, undergoing constant change. The city can be compared to a living thing: it has its own metabolism, arising from the interaction between the multiple systems that make it up. Energy issues and the emergence of the decarbonised city place sustainable development at the centre of city life.”
Professor Carlos Moreno
The Scientific Committee, chaired by Professor Carlos Moreno, has put forward an original format for 2014 covering three main themes:
Scientific excellence with the participation of about 10 personalities of the highest world level who will exchange during a day around a multi-media corner completed by local and international guests from the ubiquitous world and to interact spontaneously, in real time connected by internet with others participants. Documentaries and videos will illustrate their interventions, concepts and experiences.
Separate rooms dedicated for thematic workshops in which the actors from innovation and urban intelligence field will exchange with the public, the multi-media corner and where some clips are going to be filmed and projected with a slight delay to the TV tray.
Exhibition room with posters, exchange corners and networking.
